Milk Cream – a popular Goan Christmas sweet that’s loved by one and all!
Ingredients for our Milk Cream recipe
Milk – half litre
250 gms sugar
100 gms grated cashew nuts
75 gms margarine
Method
Mix all together in a pot and place on slow fire. Keep stirring well with a wooden ladle. Turn off fire when it thickens and reaches a soft ball stage (In a saucer with a little water, place a blob of the mixture) – approx half hr.
Beat it well till it cools enough to handle. Knead and form in rubber moulds.
It’s not hard to see (or taste) why Milk Cream deserves its place in the list of Goan Christmas sweets!
